Girls Night Out Fest x Rankd

Showcasing Brighton’s women and non-binary fronted bands and promotors – this is Girls Night Out Festival!
June 6th will see a new multi-venue festival taking over three of Brighton’s most acclaimed grassroots music venues: Green Door Store, The Folklore Rooms and the newest addition to the city’s rich creative landscape – Pink Moon. Paired with a wristband collection at Bella Union Vinyl Shop, punters will be getting their steps in for a day of genre-blending and venue-hopping.
Girls Night Out Fest sets itself apart from the typical programming of adjacent multi-venue events by spotlighting the women and non-binary fronted bands and promotors that have been curating captivating line-ups, and delivering exceptional live performances in Brighton. With friends Sidequest Records, Agenda Collective, Buzz Present, Moonrock MGMT and Whattawally joining forces to craft a diverse line-up spanning Folk, Rock, Jazz, Indie and more – June 6th will be a key addition to your Brighton live music calendar.
Not only is the festival run by women and non-binary identifying promotors and artists, the event will also spotlight female and non-binary sound engineers, graphic designers, photographers, videographers and many more creative personnel that will ensure the event’s smooth and successful execution. With proceeds donated to Brighton Women’s Centre, a charity that supports women with We help women with accommodation, health and well-being, finances, childcare and early years education and social connections, Girls Night Out Festival is enriching the event with an infectious force for good.
The event doesn’t end there either! A collaboration with with @fairytopia.clubnight will see @thefolklorerooms transform into a club venue, inviting ticketholders to party into the early hours. At 6:15pm, Pink Moon will host the first screening of ‘Causing A Scene’ by Liv Golya-Kerrigan, a documentary highlighting all things DIY and alternative in Brighton, with earlier programming including a talk from BWC, a writers panel and a story-writing workshop.
That’s all before we even mention the line-up…
Expect the delicate lovestruck delicacy of Georgie Moon, the mesmerising attitude and flair of Girl Apocrypha, and the sombre, reflective tranquility of Moon Idle, who will be wrapping up the proceedings at The Green Door Store- amongst many more unmissable acts!
With wristband collection opening tomorrow at 11am, this is your last chance to secure a ticket for Girls Night Out Fest – don’t miss out!
