Your data, plain English.

Rankd is a loyalty platform for live music run by Rankd Ltd (the "we" throughout this policy). This page describes what we collect when you use app.rankd.uk, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It does not cover the marketing site at rankd.uk.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email, and a hashed password. Optional: a short bio, location, and avatar image.
- Activity: a record of every gig you scan into (which venue, which event, when), and any prizes you redeem.
- Wallet pass (if you add Rankd to Apple Wallet): a per-fan serial number and authentication token used purely so your pass can be updated when your points change.
- Images you upload (avatar, venue cover): stored on Supabase Storage; the public URL is saved against your account or venue.
- Cookies: a single signed session cookie (
rankd_session) so you stay logged in. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we collect it
- To run your account and award you points when you scan in.
- To show venues their own statistics, leaderboards, and redemption queue.
- To show fans a global leaderboard and per-venue ranking. Your name and totals are visible to other Rankd users; your email and address are not.
- To provide receipts and history for redemptions, and let venue staff verify codes you redeem.
Who we share it with
We use a small set of processors to run the service: Supabase (database and image storage, EU region), Vercel (hosting), and Apple (only if you add a Wallet pass). We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
The venues you scan into can see, on their dashboard, your name, email, and the events you have attended at their venue. They cannot see your activity at other venues.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and gig history while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your scans, redemptions, wallet pass, and any uploaded images. Anonymised aggregate counts (e.g. "total check-ins at this venue") may remain.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
You can ask us, at any time, for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account. The fastest route is to email us at the address below. We respond within 30 days.
Children
Rankd is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will note the change at the top of this page and (where it affects you) email you the next time we have something to send.
