The concept of Homegrown Festival was destined for greatness from its first pilot back in 2024, a simple yet effective annual gathering artists rooted in Brighton – some who have long flown the next, and some who are only just getting started in the grassroots music circuit. For 2026, things are just getting better and better. We’re talking nine venues throwing their doors open for a eclectic mix of bands ranging from electronic to alt-rock, solidifying Homegrown as a MUST for your live music calendar. While The Great Escape and Mutations have long championed the multi-venue festival layout, Homegrown is distinctly something by Brighton, for Brighton.

This year, the festival introduces out-of-town acts that have established themselves as staple pieces in the city over the years (and constantly advocate for GMV’s and their necessity in music scenes), from the noise-laden bass-driven goodness of Enola Gay, indie-rock act jasmine.4.t, and Bella Union royalty My Precious Bunny. The most impressive fest however, is a line-up of 70 artists who are predominantly founded, and nurtured right here in Brighton – highlighting the creative abundance of the city, while offering a day rooted in community, togetherness and top tier grassroots music:

With the support of Arts Council England, and curated lovingly by Brighton’s Music Venue Alliance, Homegrown is on-track to sell out for the third time running. With Artist riders pouring courtesy of Abyss Brewing, and pizza slices slinging around town thanks to newcomers Pommy’s – the team have set the standard for how festivals of this scale should be done.
