Pain, filth and noise-laden doom

Advocates for  their local music communities in Brighton and Eastbourne – Believe in Nothing have firmly marked their territory by forging an unmissable blend of doom and jagged noise that has splintered the walls of grassroots venues across the south. Establishing a captivating presence in a momentary lifespan, Caine, Lawrence, Jasper and Steve are on a fast-tracked thrill-ride that has landed them in the open arms of Church Road Records –  a deserving milestone after a labour of love, manifesting as unmissable live shows and filth-caked demo tapes that have rippled across Brighton and Eastbourne’s intertwining music scenes.

'The process - it was touch and go. I came in and had a clear vision of what I wanted to do and how I thought everyone could bring it together...

...Believe in Nothing from the beginning to where it is now are worlds apart.' - Caine

Emerging back in July ’24 with their debut show at Brighton’s Rossi Bar (a familiar trend amongst new artists as demonstrated by the recently established ‘Carne’), the combination of long-standing friends and a joint enthusiasm for noise creates an infectious chemistry amongst the quartet from day one – something felt not only in the music, but their on-stage expression and performance.

Blended with demonic instrumentation, the band manage to rumble the walls of unsuspecting venues…

From gut-wrenching screams, bellowing guitar-runs and acrobatic jumps, crawls and contortions from frontman Caine Hemmingway – Believe in Nothing offer an unfiltered display of pain and sonic fury, a true testament to their visions for the project – one of raw emotion, and unapologetic truths from start to haunting finish. With exclusive access to their growing library, Believe in Nothing are bursting at the seams with a discography of all killer, no filler anthems for a music scene who have nurtured the likes of Black Groove and Outback – and they’re thirsty for more.

With a string of cryptic posts on the Believe in Nothing Instagram page, their newest era of rot is slowly emerging from the woodwork – and we anticipate a growing momentum to carry the noise-outfit to greater heights for the remainder of ’25. From their formation in July ’24 to the debut release (TBA), Believe in Nothing have generated a spellbinding awe that hasn’t gone unnoticed, and we’re tuned-in for every second of it.
