Since starting the SideQuest mission back in ’24, Ari has since supported the work of ‘ TRUST.’, ‘Change the Fcking Records’ (CTFR) and ‘Folklore Sessions‘, representing, booking and actively promoting shows across the ever-expanding grassroots music landscape in Brighton. Ari uses SideQuest as a force for good, highlighting the biggest challenges facing the live music world and doing her bit to set the standard for how live music should run – DIY, inclusive and fair.
After exploring ‘SideQuest Fest‘, featuring the enchanting sounds of Frances Mistry, Tabi Gervis + MANY more, Ari has set the tone for a prosperous 2026, working alongside artists ranging from funk to punk and showing that nothing is off the cards for what’s to come!
Sharing house picks from the SQ team every month shows an active engagement with the ever-changing music terrain in the city and a pure love for the talent emerging from Brighton. They’ve got their fingers on the pulse for all things grassroots, and are becoming the go-to platform for new discovery, and a top-notch live music experience.
"It's nice to keep coming back and being like 'okay, this is what it looks like when I run something from top to toe.' I don't have any hard-set schedules or objectives for SideQuest. I think SideQuest is my baby and I refer to it constantly like that - and now it's grown into a hyperactive toddler."
Extending their support to the essential work of MVT, SideQuest have fundraised over £300 and highlighted the integral work they do to keep venues afloat at a time that has never been more challenging. Ari and the SideQuest team extend a warm helping hand in a music industry that can seem daunting and impossible to navigate, opening the doors for new talent to emerge, grow and flourish. What’s not to like?
