Room Service return with ‘Hot Dog’

Room Service bring us a hot new dish with their single ‘Hot Dog’ 

Six piece Room Service have already shown us they can do a great conceptual track with their debut EP ‘Plastic Cosmic Fantastic Hotel’, and their new single ‘Hot Dog’ is no exception. 

Kicking off with an electrifying rock riff, ‘Hot Dog’ brings us straight into the energy with fast paced instrumentals and wonderfully charismatic vocals from front woman Héléna Marchand that accompany the rest of the track’s upbeat sound. This energy runs through the entire track, forcing you to get up out of your seat, something that Room Service has always done exceptionally well.

The song leans into themes of overconsumption in contemporary life, a running narrative that has become impossible to ignore in our daily lives. While less technically complicated than their previous EP, ‘Hot Dog’ is just plain fun, no messing around. I can always love and appreciate when a band values their sense of humour, and Room Service constantly proves this, while still impressing their audience with their technical brilliance and ability to come together and play a great show. 

This simple brilliance fights against the thread of overconsumption in all areas, but specifically the music industry, while the next best sound is moving so quickly it’s impossible to keep up, Room Service are reminding us what’s important: Getting on the dancefloor (And Hot Dogs, of course).
