CHUB x Rankd – Beans, Remastered

So nice they released it twice – CHUB return full of ‘Beans’!
As a nod to their seven years and counting of sonic progression, CHUB return with an all-improved version of their previous single ‘Beans’. Featuring the trademark playfulness yet political undertone that has transported CHUB to the likes of Bloodstock festival, added them the line-ups with the likes of Revolt, and earnt them a spot at Eaton Punk Festival earlier this year, this remastered version plays homage to the growth and maturity that has come to define Craig, Zakk, Ben and Kyle’s creative output as of recent. With their own greatly received festival series ‘Chubstock‘ planting the band at the forefront of Eastbourne and Brighton’s punk scenes, this track marks the spawn point for an exciting string of releases, annoncements and events that will follow the beer-soaked, ketchup-stained fury of ‘Beans’.
While the track features Benjamin Hart’s trademark growl, the newest iteration of the track offers the same sensation as a fresh film being peeled away – there’s a refined sense of clarity, dynamics and energy that sends the newest version to the top of Chub’s discography. Chunky guitar chuggs, impactful stop-and-start instrumentation and a middle-eight that sounds like its been pulled straight from an early 20th century radio, the track keeps a firm grip on the all-familiar chant – ‘we work so hard until the job gets done‘, nodding to public sector workers while expressing a rage against the system that treats them so unfairly. Courtesy of Jasper Lyons of Bad Habit Studios, Eastbourne, this latest track propells CHUB into a new, refreshed chapter.
With the self-produced debut album ‘AL BUM’ slowly approaching it’s third birthday, the four-piece are due to reveal their latest thrash-punk offerings across the remainder of 2026. Expect more releases, more appearences, and plenty of beans to go around (energy, that is).
