AudioActive Worthing Hosts Two Live Shows for Independent Venue Week

AudioActive will celebrate Independent Venue Week with two evenings of live music at the end of January, highlighting the role of small venues in supporting emerging artists across Sussex. IVW collaborates with various venues around the UK from Jan 21st-Feb 1st, hosting a week of celebrations to shine a spotlight on how integral they are as ‘cultural hubs for learning, creativity, arts and culture’. 

The shows take place on Friday 30 January and Saturday 31 January as part of a national programme recognising the importance of grassroots venues within the UK music sector, nurturing this network of community spaces that provide opportunity for creative expression and discovery.

On Friday, AudioActive will host a Battle of the Bands night, featuring Kanukai, Max Adriaan, The Kelly Collab, and No Further Services. The following evening, Saturday 31 January, the venue will present an In Session live showcase with Abi Flynn, Hutch, and Louie Le Vack.

Entry to both events is donation based, with a minimum contribution of £1. All proceeds will go towards supporting independent music venues.

AudioActive Worthing provides year-round opportunities for young people to take part in music making, artist development, mentoring, and live performance on the South Coast. Independent Venue Week offers a chance to recognise the continued role of venues like AudioActive in sustaining the wider tapestry of UK grassroots music scenes.
